The Mineworkers Investment Trust (MIT) is a South African empowerment vehicle established for mining, construction, and energy workers (current, retrenched, and their families), acting as a wealth creator by owning the Mineworkers Investment Company (MIC). The MIC invests in growth-focused companies, generating dividends that fund the Trust’s extensive education, skills development (like at the Elijah Barayi Memorial Training Centre), and community upliftment projects, supporting beneficiaries through bursaries, training, and initiatives via partners like the JB Marks Education Trust Fund (JBM). DISI was commissioned to give their website an overhaul.
